Ideas-Shared is the creator of a new category of participation infrastructure: the Ambition Operating System, or Ambition OS.
An Ambition Operating System enables individuals, informal groups and organisations to take anything they want to question, change, improve, solve, create or achieve from intent to measurable outcome.
It provides the shared network, operating model, methodology and tools needed to make an ambition visible, attract voluntary participation, assemble knowledge, experience and resources, organise action and record what is achieved.
Ideas-Shared is not:
Each of those categories supports a particular part of what people may need. Ideas-Shared provides the common organising layer for the whole journey – from “this matters” to “this is happening.”
The distinction is fundamental.
Existing systems generally begin with an audience, community, organisation, team, project or transaction already in place. An Ambition Operating System can begin before any of those exists.
Personal. Professional. Societal. The operating model remains the same.

Ideas-Shared was created in response to a world that has become increasingly fragmented, adversarial and difficult to navigate. People have needs, ideas, knowledge, resources and a willingness to help – but no shared environment in which all of those things can be brought together constructively.
Most existing spaces encourage people to consume, compete, argue, assign blame or retreat into ideological camps. Ideas-Shared is designed to create a different possibility: a place where individuals, informal groups and organisations can coexist, contribute and thrive together without needing to share the same identity, politics, interests or starting point.

Ideas-Shared is therefore more than a collection of tools. It is shared participation infrastructure for people and organisations that believe better outcomes are possible – and want a practical way to help create them.
The individual can pursue what matters personally. The informal group can organise around a shared purpose. The organisation can engage people, knowledge and resources beyond its existing boundaries. Each can participate on its own terms, work with any other participant and contribute to something larger.
Its real value lies in what becomes possible when previously disconnected people, intentions, capabilities and opportunities can find one another – and progress together. That is why Ideas-Shared is more than the sum of its individual tools, activities and outcomes.
Our Mission
Our mission is to enable people aged 16+, informal groups and organisations everywhere to find the participation, help and support needed to realise personal, professional and societal ambitions – and improve the conditions that matter to them.
We do this by providing shared infrastructure and a common operating model through which people can identify what needs to change, make it visible, bring together the necessary capabilities and coordinate meaningful action.
How the Ambition OS Works
On Ideas‑Shared, you choose how you want to participate – through the open Global Hub or within a dedicated, secure Private Hub.
You begin by identifying a condition you want to improve and registering the ambition that follows from it. You then turn that ambition into activities, invite others to participate, build the required delivery capability, organise tasks and work towards meaningful outcomes.
The approach is clear – challenge assumptions, make others aware, stop what needs stopping, and co-create new realities.
Depending on the ambition, participation might involve one or two people, an informal group, an organisation, or people drawn from different communities, professions and sectors. The Ambition OS provides the common methodology and practical tools needed to help everyone organise effectively around the outcome.
You remain in control. You choose what you want to improve, how you want to participate, who you want to work with and what outcome you want to achieve. There are no advertisements, no algorithms deciding what deserves attention and no gatekeepers controlling which ambitions can be progressed.
It is a complete, repeatable way to turn ambition into organised activity, coordinated delivery and improved conditions.
Our Products
Ideas‑Shared Global delivers the Ambition OS through two complementary operating environments. Each supports a different form of participation while using the same underlying methodology.

Founded and architected by Bob Thompson, procurement transformation specialist, systems architect and creator of the Ambition OS.
Co-founded with Ivar Ingimarsson – former professional footballer and entrepreneur who understands that execution and teamwork beat raw talent alone.
