User Guidelines

These guidelines (“Community Guidelines”) supplement and amend the Terms of Service. If there is any conflict between these Community Guidelines and the ToS, the applicable terms in the Community Guidelines will prevail. Capitalised terms not defined herein have the meaning set out in the ToS.

Ideas-Shared is operated by Ideas-Shared Global Ltd, company number 16720475. Our mission is to empower individuals and organisations to share ideas, build connections, and take action to make a difference in the world. To maintain a constructive and respectful environment, it is essential that Users follow these Community Guidelines, respecting others and using the platform in a way that is ethical, legal, and aligned with our mission.

At Ideas-Shared, we are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive community where personal, professional, and societal ambitions can thrive. We believe in the power of shared ideas and collective action, and we encourage Users to post thoughtful, solution-oriented content that drives real-world change.

Your Responsibilities as a Member of the Community

When using our Service, You agree to abide by the following guidelines. Violating these guidelines may result in suspension or termination of Your account or access to the platform.

These rules apply to every public or private space on Ideas‑Shared, including listings, comments, messages, groups, and file uploads.

Prohibited Activities

To maintain a safe and constructive environment, You must not:

Misuse the Service or Intellectual Property:

  • Do not license, sublicense, sell, resell, rent, lease, transfer, assign, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Service.
  • Do not modify, adapt, hack, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or related systems.

Act Deceptively or Fraudulently:

  • Do not impersonate others, misrepresent Your identity, or falsely claim affiliation with any person or organisation.

Post Harmful or Illegal Content:

  • Refrain from sharing content that is defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, or illegal.
  • Content must not incite violence, harassment, or violate others’ privacy.
  • Content that praises extremist organisations, depicts sexual exploitation, or encourages self‑harm is strictly prohibited.
  • If a listing alleges wrongdoing, you must provide verifiable sources. Unsubstantiated claims may be hidden until verified.

Engage in Spamming or Unauthorised Activities:

  • Avoid sending unsolicited messages, bulk mail, spam, or promoting pyramid schemes.

Introduce Harmful Software or Materials:

  • Do not post or upload materials containing viruses, malware, or any harmful components.

Disrupt the Integrity of the Service:

  • Avoid any behaviour that disrupts the performance, security, or integrity of the Service, such as scraping or automated data extraction.

Neutrality & Equal Access Statement

Ideas-Shared exists to empower individuals, groups, and organisations to realise their ambitions through cooperation, shared action, and mutual respect.

To preserve this purpose, no political party, ideology, religion, belief system, or other polarising viewpoint has any automatic rights, privileges, or preferential treatment on this platform.

All listings, discussions, and activities must align with our core principles of respect, collaboration, integrity, and constructive action.

Every contribution – regardless of its origin – is subject to our review guidelines and community standards to ensure that Ideas-Shared remains a safe, inclusive, and productive environment for all.

Encouraging Respectful and Solution-Focused Engagement

Focus on Solutions and Constructive Contributions:

  • Frame Your content in a solution-oriented way and encourage meaningful conversations that address challenges and propose improvements.

Engage in Civil Discourse:

  • Disagree respectfully, and aim to resolve conflicts constructively. Personal attacks are not tolerated.

Promote a Safe and Inclusive Community:

  • Ensure inclusivity by avoiding discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, disability, religion, or other protected characteristics.
  • If your listing involves in‑person activity, you’re responsible for local compliance, permits, and safety.

Ensuring Privacy and Confidentiality

Respect Personal and Third-Party Privacy:

  • Do not share personal information (e.g., addresses, phone numbers, financial details) without consent.
  • Content shared on the platform should be intended for public discussion.

Confidentiality of Ideas and Listings:

  • Users should be aware that information posted is viewable by others. Share only what You are comfortable making public.

Fair Usage Limits

Fair Use Applies to All Services:

  • Even services labelled as “unlimited” are subject to fair usage. Excessive use may result in limitations or suspension.
  • Posting more than 20 public listings or sending >200 messages in 24 h is considered excessive and may trigger rate‑limiting.

Monitoring and Addressing Excessive Usage:

  • If Your usage exceeds acceptable limits, we will notify You to address the situation.

Content Moderation and Enforcement

Content Monitoring and Reporting:

  • While we cannot pre-moderate all content, we actively review reported content and reserve the right to remove content or accounts that violate these guidelines.
  • You will receive an email explaining any moderation action. You may appeal once within 14 days by replying to that email.
  • We publish quarterly stats on content removals and appeals at ideas-shared.com/transparency.

Consequences of Violation:

  • Violations may result in warnings, account suspension, or permanent removal from the platform. Severe violations may be referred to legal authorities.
  • Ideas‑Shared Global Ltd is an intermediary under UK/EU law. Upon valid notice, we act expeditiously to remove unlawful content.

Disclaimer on User-Generated Content

The views expressed by Users are their own and do not represent the views of Ideas-Shared Global Ltd. While we encourage positive and solution-driven content, we are not liable for User-generated content and encourage all members to engage responsibly and in good faith.

Updates to These Guidelines

These Community Guidelines may be updated periodically. Changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes agreement to the revised guidelines.
