Ideas-Shared: The Missing Infrastructure for People Power

What the Global Hub is, what members get access to, and why it matters.

People everywhere have ambitions, ideas, concerns and problems they want to do something about.

A person may need support with a personal challenge. An informal group may want to improve its community. An organisation may want to involve people beyond its own boundaries. The potential to make progress exists everywhere—but people do not always have a practical way to find one another, organise their efforts and keep going.

Ideas-Shared is being built to provide that missing infrastructure: a Global Hub where individuals, informal groups and organisations can participate in tackling what matters to them.

What is the Global Hub?

The Global Hub is an online membership platform for making ambitions and activities visible, finding people who may want to take part, and organising work towards outcomes.

It is designed for personal, professional and societal ambitions, across locations and subjects. Members can start with something of their own or discover and support activity already shared by others.

Ideas-Shared brings the capabilities for participation and delivery together in one environment. Members can:

  • create and share activity listings;
  • explore the Global Ambition Directory;
  • join open and closed groups;
  • connect with people through messaging;
  • build teams and coordinate contributions;
  • plan tasks and follow activity as it progresses;
  • vote on priorities through the Top 100;
  • use courses and books to learn how to make better use of the system.

The platform supports 19 activity types across 12 areas of ambition, from personal and community life to business, politics, the environment, science and technology.

Every Individual Membership includes access to the full toolset. Essential features are not withheld behind higher-priced tiers.

More than a place to post

A listing can make an ambition visible. The Global Hub also gives members ways to discover activity, engage with others and organise what happens next.

That matters because people who could help may be outside the individual’s immediate circle, the group’s existing membership or the organisation’s own boundaries. The Global Hub gives them somewhere to find the activity and a way to take part.

The ambition remains with the person, group or organisation that brings it forward. Members decide what matters, how they want to contribute and whether they want to lead, support or simply help make others aware.

Built for people to act together

Ideas-Shared has been developed around a structured operating process for moving from ambition to activity and delivery. Its tools are designed to support participation over time, as people connect, form teams, plan work and make progress.

This is the purpose behind bringing the capabilities together. Members do not have to assemble a collection of separate services and invent their own way to coordinate them. They can use one shared environment to make ambitions visible and organise participation around them.

The Global Hub includes:

  • No advertising.
  • No algorithm deciding which ambitions matter.
  • No sale of member data.
  • No gatekeeper required to decide whether someone may begin.

The aim is to let people choose what deserves their attention and how they want to participate.

What could people use it for?

The subject can be almost anything people want to change, achieve or create.

Someone might seek help with a personal ambition. A group might organise around a local issue. A business might invite people to contribute to an opportunity. People concerned about a wider societal problem might share it, find others who care and organise activity together.

Not every ambition will succeed, and no platform can guarantee an outcome. Progress depends on the people involved, the conditions they face and what they choose to do. Ideas-Shared provides the shared tools and environment for participation; members decide where to use them.

What membership costs

The standard Individual Membership is £10 a month.

For a limited founding period, the first 1,000 members can claim free lifetime membership by joining by 31 December 2026 or before the founding limit is reached. No payment card is required.

That gives members access to the full Global Hub toolset: the directory, activity listings, groups, messaging, priority voting, planning and delivery tools, and learning resources.

The value lies in having these capabilities available together, when you need to pursue an ambition or support someone else’s. The platform has taken years of design and development to create; members can access it without having to build their own infrastructure.

A new resource for people power

The Global Hub is an attempt to make participation easier to organise across personal, professional and societal life.

It gives individuals, informal groups and organisations a shared place to bring forward what matters, find people who may want to help and coordinate activity. Its reach will grow as more people bring ambitions, experience, skills and support into the network.

This is new territory. The full potential will come from what members choose to do with the infrastructure and what they make possible together.

Ideas-Shared gives people somewhere to begin—and the tools to bring others into the work.
